Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day.

The pre-scientific era believed rain to be the tears of God. The post-scientific era knows that rain is nothing more than a shower of precipitation built up from life’s never-ending cycle. But regardless of the beliefs we harbour, one thing is certain: no-one is particularly fond of rain. It is cold, wet, and miserable. My plans to go shopping at Cavendish were decidedly ruined by the down pour. All in all, wet shoes, broken umbrella and a cancelled date are definitely reasons enough to wish for a sunny sunshine.
